SPARKLEHORSE - Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain LPx2
PLAIN (PLAI176.1)
The long-awaited and much-anticipated new album from Mark Linkous (aka Sparklehorse), Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain, is rife with a fuzzed-out grace and dark enchantment, featuring musical contributions from Danger Mouse, Tom Waits, and Steven Drozd of The Flaming Lips. Continuing to mime his unique brand of haunted rural melancholy with gossamer electronic traces and a skewed pop sensibility, Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain was recorded at Linkous' Static King Studios deep in the hills of North Carolina, with some recording done at Tar Box, produced David Fridman's upstate New York studio.
