The Jet Harris Guitar Book

Jansen Records Apr 05th 2019
179 NOK

Lost and forgotten sheet music from 1963 is the base for this stunning new EP, featuring Europe’s leading beat musicians. Englishmen Colin Pryce-Jones and John Tuck, both known from the renowned beat group The Rapiers, have teamed up with Norway’s Per Øydir, of Kåre and the Cavemen, Pete Berry & the Shake Set and Perry Dear & the Deerstalkers fame. Together they have recorded the melodies from “The Jet Harris Guitar Book” as they believe Jet Harris himself –The Shadows’ original bassist – would have done it back in 1963.

The EP was recorded in London’s Toe-Rag Studios, with producer Liam Watson, who rounds up this unparalleled dream team. Further declarations seem unnecessary – if you’re in the target group, you’ve already decided. If you know, you know.

«The Jet Harris Guitar Book» will be released by Jansen Records on April 5th.

This is a double EP, pressed on two 7-inch records, housed in a gatefold cover, with photos and informative liner notes.
